Support for a dynamic symbol to display SQC data.

We are planning to implement this functionality in PI Vision, however, it has not yet been planned for a specific release. This is a high priority symbol for us based on the overwhelming feedback and we are evaluating where we can place this on the product roadmap.
Have the ability to support multiple time ranges for trends on a display. For example a trend might be configured as showing the last 8 hours, another one as the last 7 days, and another one the last month.208 votes
Multiple time ranges for symbols on a single PI Vision display will be supported in the upcoming PI Vision 4.0 release.
Build trend with multiple traces based on a display data (for instance, from a table). PI Vision user should be able to select multiple items on the table and then trend them on a single ad-hoc trend to compare. The ad-hoc trend should appear in a pop-up window (which you can move) in the same browser tab and the user should be able to switch between the main screen and the ah-hoc trend window to drag and drop more attributes from tables and value symbols on the screen. It's very important to see both ad-hoc trend and the main display simultaneously.

Ad hoc trending is a feature that is in development for the upcoming release of PI Vision 2019. This feature will support selecting data from displays to add to an ad hoc trending workspace for analyzing data and investigating issues on the fly.
As a process engineer, it is helpful to see values at several points of interest on a trend at the same time.189 votes
We are currently working on providing the ability to add multiple cursors to a trend for the PI Vision 2019 release.
UPDATE: It will be possible to add multiple cursors to trends on displays as well as popup trends and to the trend in the new ad hoc workspace that is being introduced in PI Vision 2019.
The current (2017) version of the PI Vision Display Utility requires both environments (source & target) to be connected. There is a need to be able to export and import those displays between systems that are not connected.
If not exported to a file, it could, for example, use PI Web API to use the REST endpoint to export the display configuration and vice-versa.169 votes
The export of displays to a file so that they can be imported to another PI Vision server is planned for the PI Vision 4.x release.
Be able to print a display to be used as a 'report'. Include printing / saving as a .pdf. Consider an option to print the colors so it looks good on white paper.156 votes
PI Coresight does not support the renaming of AF elements or attributes or the movement of them within the hierarchy. After renaming or moving these objects, symbols referencing them will show No Data in PI Coresight.153 votes
In the upcoming PI Vision 4.x release, PI Vision displays will support the renaming of elements and attributes.
Be able to create "on the fly" calculations similar to PI ProcessBook datasets.150 votes
PI Manual Logger is a product in need of a major upgrade. The web interface is a step in the right direction. Integration into Vision would be a big plus and give very good convergence between the two technologies.139 votes
Wish there was a snap-to-grid option132 votes
Snap to grid capability for easily aligning symbols when editing PI Vision displays will be included in the PI Vision 4.0 release
Can we have a tool to convert ProcessBook display to native PI Vision display? So we can leverage the full features of PI Vision displays,.130 votes
We’d like to learn more about your adoption and use of PI Vision and understand what we can do to help. Your feedback will help us determine what we should work on next.

The PI ProcessBook to PI Vision migration tool is still in development for the upcoming release of PI Vision 2019 and is on track for Q2 2019. This tool will allow you to analyze your ProcessBook displays ahead of the migration to assess which displays are ready to migrate and which displays may need to be evaluated prior to migration.
Administrators would like to have a way to know how often a display is used on a display management page.126 votes
Be able to manually enter data into an AF element attribute or a PI tag from a PI Vision display.124 votes
Allowing users to update a data item’s current value is planned for a future release. It is NOT in the scope of PI Vision 2019.
Be able to compare attributes from multiple similar events against each other in a table.
User Story: As a process engineer, Lalit wants to compare attributes from similar events to one another in a table and sort by the columns of the table SO THAT he can use the attribute values to compare the events to one another.115 votes
Can we have the option to specify font size for all symbols? There is currently no way to set font size in tables, bar chart/gauge, scale values in trends, etc.111 votes
Font size configuration on all PI Vision symbols is planned for the PI Vision 4.x release. Control over additional font styling is still under consideration for a future release.
I have summarized energy data for kWh consumption by day for buildings and plant that is written at specific end of shift day week points.
I'd like to be able to have this display as a stacked bar where the various plant consumption components are shown as a proportion of the bar and the height of the bar is the sum of the components.
Classic stacked bar chart.104 votes
As a display creator, I want to give other users edit permission on the display so we can collaborate in creating the display and so that other users from my team can make needed changes when I'm not available.93 votes
Role-based edit permissions on displays is in development for the PI Vision 4.x release. This will allow you to give multiple users permissions to edit the same display.
Be able to view the tag/attribute descriptions on the bottom of the trend the same way that you are able to in ProcessBook. For those of us with large DB, it is very important to have this functionality.92 votes
Currently ProcessBook and coresight trend only provide one Y axis.
We would to have 2 Y axis to plot different parameter for an asset. Example: Flow parameters can be plotted on Y axis on the left and temperature can be plotted on Y axis on the right"
Each trend in trend group must have one horizontal (X axis) and two vertical axis (Left Y and right Y). Users should be able to assign a tag plot to either of the Y axis in trend88 votes
Wrap long string values (word wrap) in a table so the entire text can appear on the display.86 votes
