Replay Time / Playback Time
Be able to go back in history and "replay" what happened while looking at a display.
Also potentially integrate this with event frames, i.e. the ability to replay what happened leading up to an event, during event, and after an event.

Trend: Statistics between cursors
When adding multiple cursors to a trend, have a way to show the statistics (delta/min/max/avg/duration) between the two cursors so that a user can easily understand what happens during the cursor times.

Timebar: Add control for flexible time manipulation
Similar to the timebar in Coresight 2.x, add the ability for a user to finely control time using a slider and increase or decrease the time duration using the slider.

Visualize Questionable Flag
The visualisation of the questionable flag on trends. We map ‘suspect’ SCADA quality to the questionable flag, and it is very useful visualising this on trends as it indicates an issue, and the data on the trend can be held in question

Export Data Supports Data Frequency
As a process engineer, I would like to be able to control the data frequency (minute, hour, etc.) of how much data is exported for my time range rather than a fixed number of data points SO THAT the data that I export can actually be used for some analysis rather than data that is too sparse to be used.

Asset Comparison: Trend with multiple elements with specific attributes
Testing Coresight 2016. After searching for all the elements I want to display on one graph, I want to be able to select the attributes I want to display. Currently, can only drag all the elements onto the display, which creates a trend with all the elements and all their attributes.
I would like to be able to select the elements I want, then drag an attribute from the Attributes section and have it create a trend of all the selected elements with the selected attribute or even multiple attributes.

Multiple floating Ad-Hoc windows
- User opens a main PI Vision display window, where there are multiple PI tags/items in view either in trends or value displays etc.
- Now, once user double-clicks any of the PI items in the display, it should open a separate floating trend page (not covering the original display window)
- And user should be able to further select another PI item(s) in the main window still (holding down ctrl key) and drag them into the same floating window.
Or, from main window, simply double-click another item, and that should open into a 2nd separate floating window.
They should be able to…

Carry time range from Ad-Hoc workspace to main display
Once multiple items on a display are selected and added to the Ad-Hoc workspace, a user can change the time range in the Ad-Hoc display. Once analysis is completed on the Ad-Hoc display, one may like to check the main display with the same time range as the AD-HOC.
Can we add a button to carry the AD-Hoc display's time range to the main display after we close it?
This feature is already available with Processbook displays imported on PI Vision.

Move Trend Cursor with arrow keys (keyboard)
At the moment it is just possible to move a trend curser with the mouse. But hitting a certain point in a trend would be much easier by moving the trend course with the arrow keys of the keyboard.

Add search to ad hoc trend workspace
Add search to ad hoc workspace so that attributes and tags can be added directly from search to the ad hoc trend.
Allow direct access to the ad hoc workspace so that users investigating an issue don't have to open a display or create a new display to get there.

Display Slope/Derivative of PI Vision Trend
Users can easily make a plot of a process value as a function of time. It may be useful to know how that process value changes with time, so users would benefit from having an easy way to analyze the slope (derivative) of a process value as a function of time.

Match Trace Colors Between the Display and Ad Hoc
In the PI Vision ad hoc workspace, the colors of the traces in the ad hoc trends should match the colors that they were in the display they came from, instead of being randomly assigned a new color when they are added.

Export data directly to PI DataLink
Option to export data to a PI DataLink sheet configured with connection info so that you can jump into further analysis in a spreadsheet.

Possibility to add more than 2 most recent points to XY Plots for better analysis
We would like the possibility of configuring more than 2 most recent points in XY plots to better understand the trend of equipment readings in the past. A better comparison can be made with recent points with different colors and more data in the graph.

Change default settings for Ad-Hoc trends
It would be helpful to be able to change the default settings of an ad-hoc workspace for a specific display.
For example, if a display is designed for end users to view ad-hoc trends with a single scale instead of the multiple scales, it would be great to have that setting enabled by default in the ad-hoc workspace of that display.
That would reduce the amount of instruction and steps needed in creating displays for end-users.

PI Vision Ad Hoc Display Versatility
Similar to PI ProcessBook Ad Hoc functionality, when right-clicking and selecting attributes to be added to an Ad Hoc display the trend could take up a small pop up window and not the entire page for the Ad Hoc Workspace. Such as a predefined Trend area or a small pop-up window that these Ad Hoc selections would populate.

show details and annotations
There is a useful function in PI Processbook called show details and annotations. which can show the time-serised data in a window for a tag in trend. Also I can see which two data point is used to calculate the value I point at.
