SQC (Statistical Quality Control) Symbol
Support for a dynamic symbol to display SQC data.
303 votesWe are aware of the interest in this functionality but at this time it is not in our short-term plans to implement.

Table: Event Comparison Table
Be able to compare attributes from multiple similar events against each other in the events table symbol.
User Story: As a process engineer, Lalit wants to compare attributes from similar events to one another in a table and sort by the columns of the table SO THAT he can use the attribute values to compare the events to one another.

Bar chart and stacked bar chart
I have summarized energy data for kWh consumption by day for buildings and plant that is written at specific end of shift day week points.
I'd like to be able to have this display as a stacked bar where the various plant consumption components are shown as a proportion of the bar and the height of the bar is the sum of the components.
Classic stacked bar chart.

Trend: Support Trace Markers
Support trace markers on a trend like in ProcessBook
93 votesThis item is currently planned for an upcoming release of PI Vision.
If you have a moment, we’d like to make sure we understand the requirements and expectations for this feature.
When choosing to display data markers on a trend, is the expectation that all raw data values over the duration of the trend are shown?
Would it be acceptable to show markers for only some of the raw values as long as there are enough to accurately represent the data, or is it critical for your use case that all raw data values are shown?
Thank you for your feedback!

Symbols: Make visible/invisible based on tag value
Change graphics based on a tag value. For example enhance the multistate functionality so that is it possible to make a symbol visible when a tag/attribute value is equal to 1 and invisible when equal to 0 (or another condition).
92 votesAt this time, this item is not currently scheduled for a release of PI Vision. If this changes, this item will be updated to reflect the current status.

Trend: Allow custom titles
Allow specifying plot titles for trend symbols, similar to how ProcessBook allows specifying a plot name.
82 votesThis feature is planned for a future release.
-
Histogram Symbol
Have a histogram symbol that shows a graphical representation of the distribution of numerical data.

PI Vision tooltip configuration
The user would like to have control over the tooltip configuration of the PI Vision symbol. For instance, he would like to show the tag of a PI Point data reference when hovering over a single value from an attribute.

Multistate: change text colors
In multistate, we are able to change background color.
Customer would like to see how to change text (letters, words) colors78 votes -
Table: Archived Values
Provide a symbol in PI Vision which displays the timestamp and archive values of a data item in a table based on the display's time range.
Customer Issue: Customer uses PI Vision to monitor the most recent 100 seconds of data on their production line, which updates every 10 seconds. The process engineers want to be able to see the previous 10 measurements collected. The values on the display need to be clearly visible from a distance and able to display the desired information without interaction. This can currently be done with ProcessBook or DataLink, but a thin client is…

Multistate behavior in table object
Hi!
It would be great if the table object would be configured to handle multistate.
Each attribute in the table should be possible to configure to multistate.Even better if it some how could be configured from AF, so that you would have a template in AF that are associated with a version of the table object.
In that case when you pick a attribute thats associated with a template then everything is configured to the corresponding table object.63 votes -
Sort Collection by attribute value
When creating a collection, would like to sort the collection by a specific attribute value (what is shown in the collection). For example, a collection of tanks showing percent full. Would like to sort collection by percent full, to show the most full tanks at the top of the collection. The Asset Comparision table has this functionality.

The customer would like to have the possibility to change the format of text in a table symbol for example (edit the policy, font, size, aligning a text, etc.).

Gauge: Radial Gauge to show direction and magnitude
Show wind direction and wind speed in a compass like radial gauge.

Gauge: Support Zones / Scale Ranges
Support zone configuration on gauges so that the user has an indication of whether the attribute is in a good or bad state.
If an attribute has limits defined for it in PI AF (LO, LOLO, HI, HIHI), the gauge should default to the limits by default.

Array Values in PI Vision
It would be nice to have a possibility to Display AF Array Attribute Values within PI Vision. At the Moment we try to Display the results of a SQL table lookup with one or more results in PI Vision. Due to the dynamic amount of results, it is not possible to use one Attribut per result.

XY Plot: Asset / Event Comparison
Be able to compare multiple assets against each other using an XY plot.
User Story: As a process engineer, Lalit wants to compare data from multiple assets against each other on the same XY Plot SO THAT he can compare the performance of each asset’s production.
Each asset’s data is shown in a different color.
The production start time for each asset is captured by an event (EF).40 votes -
Event (EF) Plot / Batch SQC Plot
Plot for Events (EFs) or Batches are on the x-axis and process value is on the Y axis.
This might be another variant of a SQC Plot but based on batches/events (in time order) rather than strictly by time.
