When designing displays I would like to control how much of an element's path is shown in the Switch Asset dropdown. I've found myself in the situation described by this thread too many times: https://pisquare.osisoft.com/thread/34664-asset-framework-naming-for-pi-vision
I would like to be able to control how much of the path is displayed in the name of each asset, for example like the "Data item length" slider available in the PI DataLink search dialog.
In the PISquare thread above the asset (RTU) can only be identified by including part of the path (Station1\RTU).99 votes
PI Vision 2021 introduces new capabilities that allow users to show a partial asset path in the asset list.

When using Element Relative Display and Switch Asset, allow for selecting which Template of the current Asset is used for searching when is using templates that are derived from other templates.
The current search appears to only be based on the most derived Template but the display may be valid for a common base template shared by different types of assets.
A dropdown could be shown in the Switch Asset selector when the current asset is using derived templates to help filter.38 votes

Make any Coresight object a link. Rather than only be able to navigate using buttons, it would be nice for style/intuitive use to be able to make a text label a link, or a rectangle/circle/etc.28 votes

When I drill down to a folder and click on a processbook display and click the IE back button. It does not take me back to the folder I drill down to but to all display.5 votes
In PI Vision 2017 this functionality was added so that where you were in the folder hierarchy is preserved when you return to the home page after opening a display.
When linking to another display via text hyperlink or a button, be able to pass in the current asset/element context of the display you're looking at into the destination display.
For example, if looking at a Wind Turbine Overview display for Wind Turbine 3, if I click on the link for the Gear box detailed display, then the Gear box display will show the gear box information for Wind Turbine 3.65 votes
