Would like the ability to set the trend scale based on an AF Attribute since different products, equipment, lines etc might have different operating parameters.
It would also be nice to be able to base the scale on a calculation, i.e. (AF_Attribute_UpperLimit + 5%)6 votes
AF attributes can be used for scale limits in PI Vision. This can be done using the Minimum and Maximum limit attribute traits in AF.
If these are set and the trend is configured to use database settings then these values will be used as the minimum and maximum scale values.

Customer would like the Asset drop-down menu stay synchronized with the display Asset context.2 votes
The PI Vision 2017 R2 release included improvements to maintain synchronization between the asset dropdown menu and the display asset context.
As a PI Vision display author, I want to configure an AF hierarchy root for the asset drop-down menu on my display so that my end users only see assets in the menu from the part of the AF hierarchy that I choose.3 votes
The PI Vision development team has completed work to allow the configuration of related assets for displays in PI Vision 2017 R2 including the ability to specify an AF hierarchy root. Upgrade to PI Vision 2017 R2 to take advantage of this and other key new features. Currently, Symbols display "No Data" when an excluded attribute has been selected. This typically occurs when customers are navigating from one asset to another using the Switch Asset feature. This error can be confusing to the end user. In order to minimize confusion, a different approach should be taken such as not showing the symbol, showing N/A as a value for the symbol, or graying out symbol/values for excluded attributes.14 votes
The PI Vision 2017 R2 release included enhancements to symbols to better support excluded attributes. If attributes are flagged as “excluded” in an AF hierarchy, values will not be
displayed in the table symbol and asset comparison table in PI Vision. Other symbols
will display “N/A” for excluded attributes.
Be able to handle attributes or parent or children from a swapped asset on a element relative display so that their values resolve correctly.
User story: As a process engineer, I want to be able to build a well display with data from the well’s child assets or parent assets (the field) and have the application swap the appropriate asset context (the well) when I swap the assets SO THAT I can leverage the hierarchical structure on AF that I have built.63 votes
The PI Vision development team has completed work to allow the configuration of related assets for displays in PI Vision 2017 R2. This includes the ability to swap parent and child assets for child assets with consistent naming. Upgrade to PI Vision 2017 R2 to take advantage of this and other key new features.
