  2. Allow grouping of trend scale in PI Vision

    In PI Vision (and ProcessBook if changes are still in the works) allow grouping of y-axis scales. i.e. In a 5-pen trend, two are on “Scale 1” and three are in “Scale 2”. Makes for less y-axis space required.

  3. Add ability to sort attributes by name in PI Vision

    When looking at Attributes, they are sorted by Category. With hundreds of attributes, sometimes it seems more convenient to find an attribute quick Alphabetically. Provide two checkboxes to the right of the ATTRIBUTES header. Alphabetical or Category.

  5. Edit a Data Item by Typing or Pasting a Data Item Path

    In addition to the drag-drop option available for attributes, maybe having a textbox functionality that allows us to apply/change the name of the object’s attribute and thus changing the related attribute easily without having to search for it.

  6. improving the right click menu

    Hello,
    as a PIVision display developer I found that the following ideas may improve our workflow, thank you for your great work !

    Adding more options to the right click menu such as the proposed functionalities on PIVision. In addition to the Copy/Paste Options to add (for objects), also add the drawing features (draw a line, square, circle, etc.) when right clicking on the display for example.

    Make selections, such as the selection of a shape when editing a display, persist using double-click. Similar functionality exists in Microsoft Office products, such as when using the Format Painter.

  14. Multistate icon set symbol

    Provide a multistate icon set symbol which would provide distinct state indication similar to Excel's Conditional Formatting -> Icon Sets functionality. Example is attached.

    The changing icons are particularly useful to users who cannot distinguish between colors.

    PI Vision currently has target indicators (up and down arrows) to show if a value is above or below target, but this request is to expand on that and in addition to the target indicators, also allow state indicators such as LL/L/H/HH.

  16. Resize uploaded image with define sizing value.

    be able to set sizing of the uploaded image so that every image will have the same standard size and resolution. Eg; Developing HMI screen. So every screen will have the same size and better user experience.

    And like Processbook to be able to fit the bounding rectangle to the image size.

  17. Collection Size

    Have the ability to define the number of items in the collection that will show with the ability to then page through additional collection items. Some collections can be large and we want to limit the amount of real estate on the display given to the collection.

    When the value of an attribute is hovered over, it shows the path for the attribute. but one cannot edit the value.

  20. Allow Digital States to skip state numbers

    Currently if you have a digital state set for the following:
    0 = Closed
    1 = Open
    255 = Unknown
    You are required to create a digital state for everything from 2-255. It does not allow non contiguous state sets. This is a problem when using a PI tag that uses this state in AF/PI Vision. Setting an attribute to anything in AF brings the state name correctly into AF, however in PI Vision adding a multistate that uses this attribute the entire list of 256 states is shown.
    An alternative would be allow an excluded digital state name that…
