  1. Support Multi-tenancy in PI Coresight

Have Coresight support mutli-tenancy (possibly as Software as a Service, SaaS) so individual tenants of the application can't access each other's displays/data.

In order to support multiple tenants, we need a way to isolate displays so that users can only see certain displays.

  3. Multistate driven from Event Frame context

Drive a multistate symbol on a display from an Event Frame context. For example, turn the circle red if a 'Downtime' event on the asset is currently active.

  4. Multistate: Grow Symbol Size as time elapses in bad state

Have an option to grow the size of the multistate symbol based on the amount of time that it's been in a 'bad state'. This will help an operator prioritize what they have to do on a page of multistates.

  5. Multistate back in History shows Min / Max

In current time/real time, multistate is based on the value at the current time. However, if the user changes the time of the display to be back in history (not in current time), then it shows a summary values (like min/max/avg) of the attribute indicating if something over that time period was in a bad state. This shows the user that something wrong happened during this time range rather than a value at the end time of the time range.

  6. Event Hover: Show Start and End Time Details

On a mouse hover over an event (for example in the Gantt Chart), in the tooltip show details of the event like Name, Start Time, End Time, Duration, and Asset.

  7. Display Navigation by AF Hierarchy

Have an asset tree view to enable a user to browse / navigate the AF hierarchy tree, click on an element, and see the displays related to that element so that plant floor staff can easily navigate to their specific unit of interest by clicking an asset to open the relevant display.

  9. Trend: Adjust an Event (EF) Start Time or End Time directly from a Trend

As a super user process engineer, I want to be able to click on an event and see that event start time and end time brackets on the trends and change the start/end time stored in AF by dragging the time marker SO THAT I can fix the event trigger times based on the data I'm visualizing and interpreting since the trigger equations don’t always get it exactly right.

  10. Trend: Show Child Events (EF) on a Trend

I want to view child events like phases for a production run on the trend so that I can clearly see where these phases start and end in relation to the continuous data.

One visualization example for this is to draw a vertical line at the start of each child event and place the name of the child event vertically along the line. This is another way to visualize child events rather than an aligned Gantt Chart.
