Allow the PI Vision Display Utility to export the configuration to a file and import from a file
The current (2017) version of the PI Vision Display Utility requires both environments (source & target) to be connected. There is a need to be able to export and import those displays between systems that are not connected.
If not exported to a file, it could, for example, use PI Web API to use the REST endpoint to export the display configuration and vice-versa.148 votesThe export of displays to a file so that they can be imported to another PI Vision server is planned for the PI Vision 4.x release.

Manually Enter Data for Attribute/Tag
Be able to manually enter data into an AF element attribute or a PI tag from a PI Vision display.
110 votesAllowing users to update a data item’s current value is planned for a future release. It is NOT in the scope of PI Vision 2019.

Display hand when hovering over objects with Navigation Links
When hovering with the mouse over a display object that has a Navigation Link attached to it, the mouse cursor should change to a hand when not in edit mode and it should navigate on single-click instead of having to double-click.
42 votesHaving the mouse cursor change to a hand to indicate when a symbol is configured with a navigation link is planned for the PI Vision 2019 release. To make this behavior more intuitive for users, single-clicking the symbol will trigger the navigation instead of double-click. Trends will be an exception to this, single-clicking a trend will continue to drop a cursor and double-click will be required for navigation links.

PI Manual Logger: Option for Web App to default to Grid View
In PI Manual Logger Web, there is a Grid Data Entry view, and a List Data Entry view. The current default is the List view. However, many users only use the Grid view. It would be nice to have an option, such as a url parameter, that has a Tour Run default to the Grid view.
41 votesIn the upcoming release of PI Manual Logger Web 2017 R2 we are planning to add an option to default to grid view. This will be an application level setting that will set the default view for all users.

Edit Trace Name in Trend Legend or be able to add a description
Edit the trace name or add a description in the legend of a Coresight trend in order to:
1) Make clear the description of the Attribute in the trend
2) Use an abbreviation for the attribute description in the trend legend
3) Use a different language in the legend while respecting the attribute name (for example, an attribute name is written in English in PI System Explorer but we would like to see Italian in the Coresight trend)33 votesCustomizing legend in the trend is planned for a future release.

Hover/Mouse Over ToolTip for Hyperlinks and Navigation Links
As a PI Vision user, it would be helpful to have a ToolTip showing the hyperlink when a Navigation Link is added to an object or symbol. Right now, this only occurs with a Text symbol, but it would be helpful to have this for other symbols, such as a shape or image.
31 votesHaving the hyperlink appear in a tooltip for symbols configured with a navigation link is planned for the PI Vision 2019 release.

Export Data Supports Data Frequency
As a process engineer, I would like to be able to control the data frequency (minute, hour, etc.) of how much data is exported for my time range rather than a fixed number of data points SO THAT the data that I export can actually be used for some analysis rather than data that is too sparse to be used.
23 votesOptions to select a data frequency when exporting data from a display will be included in the PI Vision 4.0 release.
-

Trend: Allow custom titles
Allow specifying titles for trend symbols, similar to how ProcessBook allows specifying a plot name.
19 votesThis feature is already planned for a future release.
-
Ungroup collections
Currently, Collection symbols cannot be ungrouped. It is possible to modify the collection criteria in order to decide what symbols and attributes to include. But there is no way to revert from a collection and re-use the symbols separately.
The current workaround is to "Modify Collection" -> Copy the content of the collection -> Exit the collection -> Paste the content
It should be natively possible to Ungroup collections as easily as it is to create one.17 votesRevert collection is a feature planned for a future release.
-
Resize Groups / Multiple Symbol Selections
Selecting a group and pressing the zoom causes the whole display to zoom in. I only want to enlarge the selected group, not the entire display. Using the zoom does not work.
11 votesThis functionality is planned for a future release.
-
ability to wrap string value pi points

Adding / Configuring the Marker Size/Format in XY Plot
Adding / Configuring the Marker Size/Format in XY Plot.
Having a lot of markers in the XY plot the point cloud gets unusable because of Marker Size is to big
So either definition of own smaller Marker ( hair cross - single pixel ...) or an option to change marker size would Help8 votesThis feature is planned for a future release of PI Vision.
