  1. Ad-hoc trend with multiple selected attributes

Build trend with multiple traces based on a display data (for instance, from a table). PI Vision user should be able to select multiple items on the table and then trend them on a single ad-hoc trend to compare. The ad-hoc trend should appear in a pop-up window (which you can move) in the same browser tab and the user should be able to switch between the main screen and the ah-hoc trend window to drag and drop more attributes from tables and value symbols on the screen. It's very important to see both ad-hoc trend and the main display…

An ad-hoc trending feature is planned for PI Vision 2019 and will support selection of attributes from displays or from a search to add to an ad-hoc trend for analyzing data and investigating issues on the fly.

  2. Trend: Multiple Trend Cursors & Calculate Duration

As a process engineer, it is helpful to see values at several points of interest on a trend at the same time.

When adding multiple cursors, to a trend, have a way to show the duration between the two cursors.

Note: This was previously Enhancement 119179.

  3. Allow the PI Vision Display Utility to export the configuration to a file and import from a file

The current (2017) version of the PI Vision Display Utility requires both environments (source & target) to be connected. There is a need to be able to export and import those displays between systems that are not connected.
If not exported to a file, it could, for example, use PI Web API to use the REST endpoint to export the display configuration and vice-versa.

  4. Convert ProcessBook display to PI Vision display

Can we have a tool to convert ProcessBook display to native PI Vision display? So we can leverage the full features of PI Vision displays,.

The migration of PI ProcessBook displays to native PI Vision displays is planned for an upcoming release of PI Vision. This will also include a tool to analyze your ProcessBook displays ahead of the migration to determine which displays are using features like VBA that will not be supported in PI Vision.

  5. Export Data Supports Data Frequency

As a process engineer, I would like to be able to control the data frequency (minute, hour, etc.) of how much data is exported for my time range rather than a fixed number of data points SO THAT the data that I export can actually be used for some analysis rather than data that is too sparse to be used.

  6. Shortcut to collapse all groups at once in the PIML Web Grid View

By default in the PI Manual Logger Grid view, all groups are displayed in the expanded state.  To minimize clutter on the screen, some users like to work with all groups collapsed except for the group they are currently working with.  To facilitate this workflow, it would be helpful to have a "Collapse all/Expand all" control to collapse or expand all groups at once in the grid view.

  7. Support installation on Windows Server Core

Support installation on Windows Server Core with the standard install kit. Server Core requires fewer patches, uses fewer resources and has a smaller attack surface than the full GUI version of Windows Server.
