Offline Display Management: Allow PI Vision displays to be imported and exported
There is a need to be able to export and import PI Vision displays so that displays can be managed offline. This would allow transferring displays between systems that are not connected, taking backups of displays, versioning displays, sharing displays with customers, vendors, and third-parties, etc.

Events Table: Show attribute values
Be able to compare attributes from multiple similar events against each other in the events table symbol.
User Story: As a process engineer, Lalit wants to compare attributes from similar events to one another in a table and sort by the columns of the table SO THAT he can use the attribute values to compare the events to one another.

Create on the fly calculations
Be able to create "on the fly" calculations similar to PI ProcessBook datasets.

Support multiple time ranges for trends on a display
Have the ability to support multiple time ranges for trends on a display. For example a trend might be configured as showing the last 8 hours, another one as the last 7 days, and another one the last month.

Support renaming of AF elements and attributes
PI Vision does not support the renaming of AF elements or attributes or the movement of them within the hierarchy. After renaming or moving these objects, symbols referencing them will show No Data in PI Vision.
353 votesIn PI Vision 2020, you no longer need to update your displays when AF elements or attributes have been renamed or moved within the AF hierarchy. A console utility will optionally run on upgrades that update your previously created displays to support renaming.

Asset-based (AF) Calculations
Expand the tag based PI Vision Calculations introduced in PI Vision 2020 to support simple AF attribute based calculations (addition, subtraction, etc.).

Ad hoc trend with multiple selected attributes
Build trend with multiple traces based on a display data (for instance, from a table). PI Vision user should be able to select multiple items on the table and then trend them on a single ad-hoc trend to compare. The ad-hoc trend should appear in a pop-up window (which you can move) in the same browser tab and the user should be able to switch between the main screen and the ah-hoc trend window to drag and drop more attributes from tables and value symbols on the screen. Trend: Multiple Trend Cursors
As a process engineer, it is helpful to see values at several points of interest on a trend at the same time.

Allow sharing a display with edit permission
As a display creator, I want to give other users edit permission on the display so we can collaborate in creating the display and so that other users from my team can make needed changes when I'm not available.

Trend: Show cursor values while dragging
As a process engineer, while dragging a trend cursor I'd like to see the process values. Currently, I can only see the value once I drop the cursor, I need to see the values WHILE dragging the cursor so that I can quickly identify problems in my process.
This feature was available in previous versions (PI Coresight) and in ProcessBook.

Bar chart
As a PI Vision user, I want to compare data items (PI Tags or AF Attributes) in a graphical manner using bar chart so that I can perform my analysis more efficiently.

View Display Usage
Administrators would like to have a way to know how often a display is used, and by how many users on a display management page.

Wrap text in PI Vision table
Wrap long string values (word wrap) in a table so the entire text can appear on the display.

Trend: Show data item descriptions
Be able to view the tag/attribute descriptions on the bottom of the trend the same way that you are able to in ProcessBook. For those of us with large DB, it is very important to have this functionality.
197 votesIn PI Vision 2020, we added labeling options to the trend symbol (and other symbols) to show element/tag/attribute name, tag/attribute description, or custom text. This allows you to configure the trend legend to show data item descriptions.

Event Comparison Display - show markers
Currently, Event Comparison trend has 0 configuration options. I need the ability to show markers or a scatter plot similar to the pop up trend/ad hoc workspace.

Convert ProcessBook display to PI Vision display
Can we have a tool to convert ProcessBook display to native PI Vision display? So we can leverage the full features of PI Vision displays,.

Create Display Folders & Manage User Access with Folders
Have the ability to create folders for displays as a way to organize them. Be able to add and delete displays from the folders. Manage user access to displays (read vs read/write) by the folders.

Multistate: Make visible/invisible based on data item value
Change graphics based on a data item value. For example enhance the multistate functionality so that is it possible to make a symbol visible when a tag/attribute value is equal to 1 and invisible when equal to 0 (or another condition).

Multistate: Change text color
In multistate, we are able to change background color.
