Add multistate support for string values
Configure multistate using string. i.e. Receiving Data / Not Receiving data

Agree. If you're showing a Pump Status, for example that returns a value of Running/Stopped - it is helpful to Multi-State this instead of having to create a conversion first for the Multi-Stating.

Agreed this support is needed. Many of animations we would want to do would be on equipment status (pumps, valves, agitators, etc). We are a batch customer using mostly DeltaV as a datasource. Being able to animate on values such as "Confirmed Running" would be preferred to creating additional analytics on all equipment to convert from strings to integer values.

Also surprised this didn't work out of the box. Please add when possible. Thanks!

When utilizing multiple manufacturers and protocols that have attributes normalized having multistate objects based off of the UOM String value is best.

I need this feature for numerous displays, and was initially quite surprised I could not multi-state a string value. Please add - thanks!

Yeah, this is vital for state representation. If this str.value than this color else if this str.value then this color or for all else this color.
