Create on the fly calculations
Be able to create "on the fly" calculations similar to PI ProcessBook datasets.

Users very need to use the simplest calculation (sum etc.) without the AF and generated attributes.

General users need the ability to create ad-hoc calcs without the need to access to AF to generate attributes.

Is there a way to do calculated values in PI Vision displays.

Having Ad Hoc Calculations in PI Vision (Simular to the Dataset in Process Book)

Add the ability to perform expressions directly in PI Vision. For example, easily trend the sum of two tags. This was a very useful feature with PHD / Uniformance Process Studio that I'm losing with the conversion to PI!!!

This is the first thing my users ask me about, and then, they are rather disappointed to learn that PI Vision has no such capabilities. It would certainly be very very very useful feature. Please start developing this into PI Vision!

It would be convenient to be able to do calclulations (like datasets in pdi) in a display.
For example while im searching a tag a calculation window could pop out (with the basic calcs..'+','-','*',"/" ) and then i can just drag/drop the tag, search for another tag drag/drop it and make the numerical operation!

This would be very useful for us. Any updates yet?

Provide the ability to perform calculations in a trend. Similar to the data sets in ProcessBook.

If we can trend expressions, it should take care of this user voice, trend constant

Can you provide an status update please? It has been created for almost a year.

Could we apply some basic calculations (A+B) on the fly for the traces that are on the trend? We are interested in having this done on the user side rather the server side.

Users would like to trend using expressions such as TagA + TagB, without creating performance equations or AF analyses.

Enable the ability for simple math operators to create values or trends. i.e. Trend tag A - tag B, display the Value of tag C + Tag D + tag E, trend tag F / Tag G.
