Trending data by other Indices, Vertical trends, Trending by Depth
O&G customers that are looking at creating analysis applications for their drilling operations, would like to have an option to create vertical trends that would allow them to analyze their drilling operation by depth.
Trending by another index other than time. For example Oil & Gas Drilling operations.
While we appreciate the interest the community has for this suggestion, we have decided to decline this item in favor of other high priority work the product needs. Thank you for your feedback, and please continue sharing suggestions for how we can improve PI Vision for you!

Murthy, I would question if OSI PI is the right tool for looking at data with a dual key, such as depth. There are many great tools with 40 years of development for looking at depth based data. For dual key data, you are better off with a SQL or Cassandra structure to the database than a historian optimised for time sequential data. If the data is only in PI, move it into a structured database with graphics designed for depth based plotting.
It is very essential in real time drilling analysis of oil& gas to have vertical trends with depth scales and trends of various parameters correlated to depth instead of time.
for example ROP, SWOB, RPM have to trended against depth.
Is it possible to display trends of different parameters in real time drilling in depth based scales.
eg. depth scale and SWOB, RPM, Torque against well depth.

Tenemos la misma solicitud, darle seguimiento a variables en profundidad, se requieren tendencias verticales.
Good for any operations. Sometimes display layout calls for vertical trends.
