Snap to grid
Wish there was a snap-to-grid option

Changing Units of Measure (UOM)
The ProcessBook feature of changing the units would be great in PI Vision. Example: instead of Watts, it would be better to see MW.

Specify the font size for a symbol
it would be really useful to configure the size of both values and text by entering a number for the size of text

Library of standard graphical symbols
Make a library of standard graphical symbols available. Things like pumps, motors, valves, etc. so that they can be used to make process mimics using consistent images.

Dynamic Collection Criteria Search Root
I would like to be able to dynamically change my collection criteria search root, based on the drop-down asset, so that the collection is element relative. This way, I don't have to create multiple collection displays.

Select multiple objects on a display with rubber band selection
Use a mouse click and drag to lasso and select multiple objects on a display.

In design mode, you can click and drag to select multiple symbols on a display and then group them so they can be moved and copied together. Group Symbols and Objects on a Display
Be able to group and ungroup objects on a display, similar to PowerPoint.

Option to align text on value symbols: left, right, center
Allow choosing how to align text on value symbols to left, right, or center alignment.

Ability to copy a symbole on one display and paste it on a different display
Copy symbol from one display to another

Open a display in full screen view
Configure a display to open in full screen mode, so tool bars and pallets are hidden by default when the display is opened.

Change the data label / description for all symbols
Be able to change the label for data on any symbol on the display, similar to how the value symbol does which gives several contextual descriptions (like element|attribute, attribute, attribute's descripiton, etc) for the data or allows the user to specify a custom text.
15 votesIn PI Vision 2020, we added labeling options to add element name, attribute name, description, or custom text as labels for trend, value, vertical gauge, horizontal gauge, and radial gauge symbols.

Assign units to a calculation
When a calculation is performed with tags\attributes with the same units assign that unit to the calculation result and allow custom units to replace the default or if units can not be determine. No unit option if none are desired.

Gauge scale visibility
As a display author, I would like to configure the visibility (show/hide) of scales on horizontal and vertical gauge symbols.
9 votesIn PI Vision 2019, the visibility of scales on vertical and horizontal gauge symbols is now configurable, allowing scale values to be hidden.

Align Symbols and Objects on a Display
Be able to align multiple objects on a display for top, middle, bottom, left, middle, right. Similar to PowerPoint.

PI Vision trend dynamic scales with attribute values
PI Vision trend should have dynamic scales according with the attribute values (limits).

Multistate: Provide a way to refresh digital state information
Digital states used for multistates are currently stored with a display, so if they are modified PI Vision does not currently detect this change. PI Vision should provide a way to update multistates with the new modified digital states. This applies to enumeration sets in AF as well.

I would like a checkbox in the XY Plot Symbol Configuration that allows me to turn off the gridlines
Ability to turn off gridlines on xy plot
5 votesIn the XY Plot symbol configuration, under General there is an option to turn off grid lines. This functionality has existed since the introduction of the XY Plot symbol in PI Vision 2017 R2.

Dynamic element selection (collections of assets)
Use: Have a template that is a container of elements. Would like to be able to have a display automatically update to include all the elements added to that container so that I do not have to manually update the display every time an element is added.

Move element through vertical or horizontal axis
Possibility to move an element through a vertical or horizontal axis, for example when pressing the SHIFT key. Maybe it can be considered as a snap-to-grid feature.

AF 2017r2 can now follow link for URI attributes but the link can often be long and ugly in display. Would like a way to give friendly name
Friendly Name for URI Attributes
2 votesAs John suggested, you can configure the value symbol to not show the value (URI) but still act like a link.
