Trend: Edit trace name in legend or be able to add a description
Edit the trace name or add a description in the legend of a trend in order to:
1) Make clear the description of the Attribute in the trend
2) Use an abbreviation for the attribute description in the trend legend
3) Use a different language in the legend while respecting the attribute name (for example, an attribute name is written in English in PI System Explorer but we would like to see Italian in the Coresight trend)93 votesIn PI Vision 2020, new symbol enhancements were introduced including the ability to add element name, attribute name or description, or custom text as labels for trend, value, vertical gauge, horizontal gauge, and radial gauge symbols.

Display hand when hovering over objects with Navigation Links
When hovering with the mouse over a display object that has a Navigation Link attached to it, the mouse cursor should change to a hand when not in edit mode and it should navigate on single-click instead of having to double-click.
64 votesIn PI Vision 2019, navigation links are now more discoverable on a display. When hovering over a symbol with a navigation link, the mouse cursor will change to indicate that there is a link and the symbol’s tooltip will display the configured hyperlink.
Navigating is now done using a single-click instead of a double-click for all symbols except for the trend, where a double-click is still required so that single-click trend interactions (trend cursor, highlighting a trace) are still possible.

Quick Filter on Assets Dropdown for Element Relative
The Asset dropdown that allows user to change context should support ability to search as the user types. This is a necessity when there are more assets that fit on a single page.
52 votesThe PI Vision development team has completed work on a filter in the related assets selector on displays in PI Vision 2017 R2 so users can quickly find an asset in the list. Trending
Trending Must Haves:
I recently installed PI Vision here and I am getting feedback about the trending capabilities, or the lack there of. Please fix the following in the trends
The ability to click on values on a page and create an Ad-Hoc Trend. This is another major need.
Need to add descriptors to trends
MUST BE ABLE to un-zoom in a trend and keep your current place in time. For example if I have a 24 hour trend and I scroll back 10 days and then zoom in, when I un-zoom I still want to be back 10 days…

Improve display loading performance
Large displays can take 30 seconds or longer to load. Load times are particularly slow in Internet Explorer. Displays needs to load faster.
28 votesIn PI Vision 2020, many performance enhancements were made to display loading, and build and run mode interactions for displays that are dense with symbols.

Busy Indicator
It would be useful to have an indication that the data is still being loaded. Currently when you add an attribute to the display, change the time range of a display, execute a dynamic search, etc you don't get an indication that something is happening. Some of our operations are quite far away with limited bandwidth.
26 votesIn PI Vision 2019, additional busy indicators have been added and the use of busy indicators is now more consistent so that it is clearer when data in a display is still being loaded.

Exporting Data
I cannot seem to find the export data feature from Coresight 2014. Will the export data feature be added back to Coresight 2016? Or maybe I am not looking the the right place.
This feature is a must for our organization.
22 votesExport data will be included in PI Coresight 2016 R2.

Trend: Vertical gridlines
Plots such as the pad trends, could benefit from grid lines to help quantify the changes over time. The horizontal axis has decent grid definition between the grey and the black, but the lack of vertical axis makes it hard to compare day to day comparisons.
20 votesIn PI Vision 2020, trend symbol enhancements were made including the ability to change the trend gridlines to vertical/horizontal lines or plain.

Trend Zoom - Undo
I need the ability to undo, revert time ranges or go back a step or steps when zooming in on data in a trend. Currently the only way to do this that I'm aware of is to start from scratch with your default time range at the bottom.
When in full screen mode (pop-up) for a trend the only option you have is to go back and from there you have to start from scratch again.
Being able to undo/revert time ranges would definitely increase the usability and make analyzing data more efficient.
20 votesIn PI Vision 2019, it is now possible to undo zoom actions in the popup trend. Undo/redo buttons have been added, and the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Z will also work to undo.
For trends on PI Vision displays, Ctrl+Z will continue to work to undo zoom actions.

Imported Processbook Display, Allow option for Scale-Range when open pop-up trend by clicking on Value Symbol
Currently on imported PB display, when clicking on Value Symbol, a pop-up trend will use Auto-Range to set the scale of the trend. I would like to have an the option to use 'Database' setting.
10 votesIn PI Vision 2019, there is now an option to change the scale settings in popup trends opened from imported PI ProcessBook displays.

Multistate Attribute name not shown
When configuring a Multistate tag, the right hand side setup panel comes up. No matter who much space is given, the whole tag name is never shown. (Example: Make Up Water System| Manual_L...) There has to be a way to see what tag is attached not just (...)
3 votesThe previous recommended solution to see the full tag name by hovering over the item is still valid.
Since we have received no further details for this feedback item, we will mark this as complete.

Multistate Text Blink Functionality
When multistate blink is configured for text, the text itself does not blink alone. A box is generated to appear behind the text and blinks along with it. Can there be an option to only have the text blink?
2 votesWhen configuring multi-state, there is an option to set the background color to be transparent. Please check it out and let us know what you think!
Thanks,
Victor Zhang
