Export display to CSV file
Ability to export data from the screen to CSV file.
It's important to generate the file in CSV format rather than XML for multiple reasons:
1. It is what the engineers expect
2. It opens in Excel by default (the XML file opens great in Excel, but the default program is the web browser)
3. It is supported by other engineering applicationsWe'd like to see some enhancements for the format of the data in the exported data file.
The first "Display" tab is fine in the current version (it compares interpolated data for multiple data sources at specific time…26 votesThe ability to export of data from a PI Vision display to a csv file was implemented in the PI Vision 2017 R2 release. Add in the display report the number of ad-hoc calculations found per display
We need to track which PI Vision displays are using ad-hoc calculations so we can monitor how they are impacting the PI Data Archive.
Best would be to limit this usage (https://feedback.osisoft.com/forums/320517-pi-vision/suggestions/42635995-ability-to-disable-calculations-feature) but using the report feature could also be a viable solution and enable us to really go to the 2020 version and further releases.
Now we stay on 2019 versions just because we cannot control the ad-hoc calculation usage by end-users.

alias tag names
Anywhere that you can show a tag name you should be able to show an alias instead. For instance, tables only allow you to show the tag name and not an alias.
