  1. Allow a way to clean up the Display Management "To" list of users

Customer has many more users appearing in the display management To list than the from list. He is wondering why being or having been a display owner at some is sufficient to remain in this list. Could there be a means to delete unneeded users from this "To" list?

You can use “User Settings” on the admin portal to remove a user from the drop-down list by clearing its settings. Please check out the functionality and let us know what you think. Thank you for your feedback!

  3. Configure asset dropdown AF hierarchy root

As a PI Vision display author, I want to configure an AF hierarchy root for the asset drop-down menu on my display so that my end users only see assets in the menu from the part of the AF hierarchy that I choose.

Rubber band zoom with a mouse and two finger pinch/stretch on touch devices is included in the released version of PI Coresight 2016

  6. Hide system and intermediate attributes in Search Results

Provide the ability, in PI Coresight, to hide particular classifications of AF attributes that are not desired to be returned in search results. These attributes could either be system attributes (as designated by AF) which do not contain meaningful data, or AF attributes that have not been configured.

  8. Trend: Invert Scales

I want to configure and invert the number scales on the y-axis of a trend so 0 is on top and 1000s are on the bottom so that I'm looking at drilling drilling depth data, the traces trend downward, just like the drill.

  9. PI Vision Edge Chromium browser compatibility

As we're going to use Chromium browser as enterprise standard, it would be great if Chromium was officially compatible with PI Vision (case number 00643921).

  12. Not equal option in Event Name

  13. Multistate Text Blink Functionality

When multistate blink is configured for text, the text itself does not blink alone.  A box is generated to appear behind the text and blinks along with it.  Can there be an option to only have the text blink?

  14. Make popup trend show value and traits on the same scale

If I double-click on a multistate symbol, I get an ad-hoc display showing the value and all it's thresholds. This is great except that the trend is multi-scale, which makes the threshold lines useless. If an ad-hoc trend is showing a values and its limits, they should all share the same scale (and possibly be differentiated by line-style or colour intensity instead of colour hue)

  15. The ability to plot individual sparklines from a table

Currently if you try to plot a sparkline from a large table you get all the lines not the one you have selected.

It would be more convenient if:
    Users can select certain row(s) in the table and pop out an ad hoc trend for those data items only;
Or enable users to hide / show traces in the ad-hoc trend.

Single-clicking on a sparkline in a table will open a popup trend containing only the data item in that row of the table. Double-clicking in another column of the table will also bring up a popup trend for that row’s data item.

In the popup trend (and for trends on displays), traces can be hidden by right-clicking and choosing Hide Trace.

In PI Vision 2019, traces can be hidden and shown with a single-click in both the popup trend and in the new ad hoc workspace using the checkbox contained in the table that is present in both of these areas.

  16. URL paramters

I wish I can use URL parameters(kiosk mode, hidetoolbars etc) across all coresight displays and not just on Ad-hoc display.

URL parameters like Kiosk mode, HideToolBar, HideTimeBar, etc., work across all PI Coresight displays; displays created with the editor, Ad-hoc displays, and imported PB Displays.

  17. Specify a domain account for the search crawler

The default account used for the Crawler service to index the allowed service might not have the correct permissions to create the index. If this occurs, the PI Coresight Admin needs to open the Services applet and change the password and restart the service. Specifying an appropriately privileged user account during installation mitigates this problem.

  18. Supply a "master asset" URL parameter

This enhancement request is to be able to supply an AF asset path as a querystring parameter in a Coresight URL to allow that asset to be applied to the symbols on the display which share that asset's template.

Note: This was previously Enhancement 62283.

As an admin, I should be allowed to remove displays that other people created. I currently don't have that ability.

If you are in the PI Vision Admins group, you will have permissions to delete any display. This can be done on the PI Vision home page by clicking on the gear icon to open the Display Settings dialog and choosing ‘Delete display’. If you’d like to delete displays in bulk, the PI Vision Display Utility can be used for this.

  20. Data set Export to Text File

Add an export option to the new Migration tool to export an Datasets to a text file.

    1 comment  ·  ProcessBook Migration  ·  Flag idea as inappropriate…  ·  Admin →

The PI ProcessBook to PI Vision Migration Utility has an analysis report that has detailed information about each display that was analyzed, including information about data sets. This report can be filtered down to a list of data set equations contained in the analyzed displays.
