Be able to easily create an asset comparison display where the same attribute on an asset is compared against other similar assets (for example, based on template) over a time range.
For example, compare the MW produced on all Wind Turbines over the last day, which on a trend the traces would be the name of each asset.

In the PI Vision 2017 release, we introduced Collections and an Asset Comparison Table, both of which allow you to quickly and easily compare attributes across similar assets.
We are looking for feedback on whether or not these features satisfy this request for an Asset Comparison Display.
Would like the ability to set the trend scale based on an AF Attribute since different products, equipment, lines etc might have different operating parameters.
It would also be nice to be able to base the scale on a calculation, i.e. (AF_Attribute_UpperLimit + 5%)6 votes
It is currently possible to use AF attributes for scale limits in PI Vision. This can be done using the Minimum and Maximum limit attribute traits in AF.
If these are set and the trend is configured to use database settings then these values will be used as the minimum and maximum scale values. Please let us know if this satisfies your request or if you were looking for a different way to use attribute values.
For more information on attribute limit traits please see: https://livelibrary.osisoft.com/LiveLibrary/content/en/server-v11/GUID-0D32012F-7520-4555-8086-FBC6286FC50A
We are a large company that is across the US. We need to allow users to set and save their time zone within PI Vision.5 votes
If you have a chance, we’d like to learn more about the use case behind this request.
By default, PI Vision will automatically pick up and use the time zone of the client machine a user is running their browser on, so all times should be displayed in a user’s local time zone.
If this isn’t the behavior you are seeing, or if you have a use case where users need more control over the time zone being used to display data please let us know.
Ability to highlight trace and hide others in one mouse click3 votes
In PI Vision, clicking on a trace in the legend will highlight that trace and dim the other traces on the trend. Is this sufficient, or is it required that the other traces be completely hidden when highlighting a trace? To hide a trace in PI Vision today, you can right-click on the trace in the legend and choose Hide Trace.
If it is required that the other traces be hidden, please let us know the use case for why this is preferred.
