PI System Connector: Need real time snapshot data support for the PI System connector.133 votes
PI System Connector with configurable snapshot support is coming soon! In order to provide you with the latest and most secure PI Connector, the timeframe for this release is being extended to May. Be assured that we are working diligently to provide you with much anticipated features as quickly as possible.
The PI System Connector allows to include PI Point replication directly from the PI Data Archive even if they are not reference in the PI AF hierarchy with the "Include all PI points from this PI Data Archive" option.
I would like to replicate only some PI Points that are not referenced, not all. This would remove the need to maintain both a PI to PI and a PI System Connector.
I could create a bogus AF Database referencing those points but I would prefer not to.23 votes
We have started development to include the ability to specify a query that will define which PI Points are included in the data sent from the source to the destination using PI System Connector. We look forward to sharing more with you about this release in early 2021.
Currently, if SQL server authentication is disabled on the SQL server hosting the Wonderware Historian, the connector cannot authenticate and read from it because the connector is designed to authenticate explicitly using SQL credentials. To be able to authenticate using Windows authentication is essential for some customer to be able to implement the PI Connector for Wonderware Historian, as some organizations disable SQL server authentication for security purposes.6 votes

For the PI System Connector it is possible to configure a prefix for PI Tags. We also need the possibility to configure a prefix for AF related items like Event Frame Attributes or tables.2 votes
