How can we improve PI Connectors?

Support Server Level Failover

To ensure that data continues to flow from the OPC UA server to PI Connector for OPC UA, the connector could be configured to switch to another OPC UA server under the same conditions as the OPC DA Interface

In our experience the majority of OPC UA servers do not yet support this failover. Can you describe the servers that support this? Are they native servers built for OPC UA or are they wrappers over OPC DA servers?

There are instances where there is a second OPC UA server for redundancy and will be good to have a backup server option to configure, same as what we got for OPC DA interface.

This is a must have for many customers in order to fully migrate PI OPC DA Interfaces to PI OPC UA Connectors. This is a typical request withing EA customers when designing new architectures. I have examples of at least 4 different scenarios where this is a bottleneck.

This is a "must have" for our company to migrate from OPC DA to OPC UA architecture.
