Ability to create/modify/delete PI Points using PI System Explorer
As a user, I want to be able to create/modify/delete PI Points using PI System Explorer, so that I do not have to use multiple tools to manage my PI Points and AF objects.
Would users want to create/edit/modify all PI Point attributes? Why not use PI Builder?

I've noticed that you can now edit PI Points that are the reference for an AF Attribute after opening PI Point Properties from the Attributes PI Point Data Reference configuration window. I would like to be able to do the same thing when opening the PI Point Properties from the Tag Search palette. This might also be a good place to have a tag deletion option, either within the properties window, or in the right click menu when you right click one or more tags in the Tag Search palette.

PI Builder is ok, but when you start having a big tree and a lot of changes, it may be difficult to track, which most likely ends with us having a bunch of unused tags. Also, if you are doing this in the server (performance wise especially in Cloud environments), you may not have PI Builder installed, as you would need an Excel for that.
So, I believe one suggestion would be to add a checkbox when you are Checking in saying "Delete all PI Points associated with deleted attributes" or a modal window when you are deleting an attribute that is also a PI point asking if you want to also delete the associated PI Points.

Firstly it is possible that I'm hi-jacking this suggestion.
Creating and modifying PI points via elements in AF/PSE is reasonably well handled. However, deleting PI Points isn't. When you add an element you can create points (or modify them). When you delete an element the underlying points are not removed. This can result in a lot of "orphaned" points. This is particularly true with AF Analytics.
Using PI Builder does not directly address this issue. Yes it would be possible get this working with PI Builder but it will still be a multi-step process.
For bulk operation on tags or AF objects I would say that PI Builder or PowerShell are the best options.
What I have in mind is that you can configure a action when an element is deleted. Similar to the create PI Point action. What I would like to be able to do is create a rule that would say delete a point when the element is delete or change it's point source and add a note the descriptor. I would say that this should be limited to points that are created via AF (i.e. the tag creation option is enabled).
Have you considered using PI Builder?
