AF XML Export/Import to Support Ordering by ID
AF XML Export supports exporting object IDs in the XML and Import supports preserving them. It would be useful if the export could be optionally sorted by ID as this would allow comparing different version of the XML (i.e. AF database) using Git. AF XML only orders objects by name, so renaming an object would cause it to move within the XML file which means Git’s line-by-line change detection would show the object being deleted in the old place in the file and added in the new place. This will make it easier to identify changes between versions of the AF database and help move a database from Development to Test and to Prod.

This would be a fairly substantial and impactful change. During import the XML files are parsed line by line, thus the exported XML from the source has some builtin ordering to facilitate the import process. This is so that, for example, we would know if referenced objects exist during the import process.
Your requests for tooling to facilitating Dev->Test->Prod is noted and we will internal continue to evaluate what we can do and relative priorities with other requests.
