Provide DataLink functionality in a Google Sheets add-on
A significant number of companies are moving from the Microsoft Office suite to "G Suite" (Google). This move takes customers from MS Excel to Google Sheets, and they would like to retain PI DataLink as a functional add-on.

Here is another vote coming from someone who works for a company that has moved to Gsuite products. Use of Excel is strongly discouraged and we are looking for alternatives to Datalink for our end-users. We have clunky scripts that can push data to a google sheet but freeform access to PI data as implemented in Datalink is the solution we would prefer.

This request is key for our company. We moved to GSheet years ago but cannot easily retrieve data from PI. Having such a feature implemented would be great!

I'm working with a client with 50k points and they are moving to G Suite in the next year. They do not want to install PI datalink, but still want to manage bulk tag uploads with relative ease. Is there another alternative until OSIsoft builds this solution that they can use other than custom PowerShell or .NET UI's?

In our company of about 30,000 employees, we are using Google Suite. We would definitely appreciate such PI evolution. At least, an online Microsoft Office could be a B plan for part for our thousand of PI users.
Like many of your customers, Microsoft Excel thick clients is going to die since we are moving to more modern technologies using light clients (tablette, chromebook, light notebook, ...).
PI Vision is a good direction, but it doesn't cover (yet?) such needs. -

Our company also quickly switches from MS Excel to Gsuite. Are you already working on datalink for Google sheets?

Our company globally transitioned from Microsoft Office to G Suite. OSI Soft's PI is our OT data historian. We have several users that want OT data via Google Sheet.
Thank you.

Having Pi DataLink as an add-on would be very beneficial as we have moved to Google Sheets in place of Microsoft Excel. It would be appreciated if Pi Datalink could me made into an add-on for Sheets. Thank you. -

My company has just transitioned over to google sheets. Most excel products have been removed. It would be great to have a google sheet add-on. Please let me know if there are any dates that this add-on may be available.
