Allow Enterprise Agreement customers to download the Managed PI install kit & documentation
Currently, not even Enterprise Agreement customers have access to the Managed PI install kit & documentation. Customers have no idea if their version of Managed PI is out of date and it is a burden to try to find this out and install the latest version. Specifically, the customer must contact tech support or book a Field Service Engineer visit, and the engineer may give the customer only temporary access to the files for the upgrade. This is a waste of the customers' time and of OSIsoft's time, since the upgrade can be done without OSIsoft's help. Generally, the initial installation of Managed PI requires an OSIsoft engineer to authenticate Managed PI with NOC, but upgrades do not.
The high barrier to an upgrade is a deterrent for upgrading, which is, in turn, a security issue. Customers do not know if their version of Managed PI contains a security issue that might have already been patched in the latest version, and even if they did know, it is currently difficult for them to perform the upgrade.
Please give Enterprise Agreement customers access to the Managed PI install kit & documentation. If the install kit really needs to be protected for some reason, then, at the very least, give customers access to the documentation so that they know how to use Managed PI and so that they can know when their Managed PI is out of date.
