As a customer that has assets in locations that have few personnel that are capable of maintaining software on site, but need to create displays, reports, and troubleshoot operational issues using data from several different small automation systems. I need a low to zero footprint offering that is always up-to-date offered on a subscription basis so that I can enable visualization and analytical capabilities on my remote sites.54 votes
As an company that uses PI Systems across our enterprise, we need the ability to aggregate data across on premises PI Systems located at our sites.
Today, we often use another "Enterprise" level PI Server to perform this aggregation and 'corporate view'. but in the future, we would like to be able to aggregate this data in a cloud based Software as a Service (SaaS) offering hosted by OSIsoft.
This would enable customers to largely replace their central/corporate PI Servers with OSIsoft Cloud Services (OCS).15 votes
We don't have the resources or skills to setup, administer, and manage our own PI System. We would just like to be able to use a hosted system delivered as Software as a Service (SaaS).9 votes
OCS is a hosted cloud data store and is being built to support remote operations monitoring scenarios.
Use this idea to tell us about your scenarios for OCS streams with multiple indices (besides just time).
What are your scenarios? How do you need to access the data? How would you like to visualize it? etc.5 votes
The ability to configure a peer group of similar equipment based on properties of the equipment SO THAT equipment KPIs can be benchmarked across multiple customers (and data shared anonymously).
For example, a peer group might be all GE7FA gas turbines owned and operated by company xyz.
The ability to see how my units are comparing across the entire group (including assets from other anonymous companies). What's my rank? Am I a good performer or a bad performer?4 votes
This idea is to collect customer feedback around Data Ownership Issues. Please let us know your Data Ownership scenarios and needs!
As a customer of OCS, I want the ability to have full control and ownership of my data SO THAT I can assert my rights and have control over data from my farm.3 votes
Leverage the OSIsoft Cloud Services as a backup and recovery mechanism for site PI Systems to help with disaster recovery (ex: storm response) and/or business continuity.2 votes
Given that OCS and EDS share some API, as a customer, I would like to support the virtuous cycle of wide data analytics in the cloud, find a calculation/event of interest while working at a fleet level and then deploy that calculation to the edge.1 vote
Whilst OCS' SDS supports storing structures that include nested attributes, OCS Trending currently doesn't support that functionality.
The workaround is to flatten the nested structure to a simple type, and get the OCS Trending to work.1 vote
