  2. Programmatic access to large tabular data sets

Ability to define and query a shaped and formatted tabular time-series data set as a data view for use in data science and advanced analytics applications. .

OCS stream data is interpolated at a given interval. Any time period can be queried and retrieved, and the data can be re-shaped to fit requirements of downstream applications.

  3. Stacked Trend

Besides the single-scale and multi-scale trend modes, I also want to stack the trends on top of one another so that traces don't overlap, and each trace has its own Y-axis scale.

OSIsoft Cloud Services (OCS) now offers three Y-axis modes: single-scale, multiple-scale and stacked. Users can click the button in the upper-left corner to toggle between the modes.

  4. Hide / Show Traces

As an end-user of the Trend app, when visualizing multiple variables in a trend, sometimes I want to hide a few of them so I can focus on the rest. Once done, I want to add the hidden traces back to the trend so I can see the whole picture.

  6. Trend Session Recovery

As an end-user of the Trend app, I want to be able to recover my trend session when I accidentally close the browser window or when there's a power failure so that I don't have to start from scratch again.

Now users are able to recover their last trend sessions on the same devices so that they wouldn’t have to start from starch again after a power failure or accidentally closing their browser windows.

  7. Automated Creation of Stream Metadata from Stream Names with Delimiters

Ability to parse meaningful metadata from stream names to add context. Utilize the delimiters in a stream name to define a pattern for parsing metadata.
Stream metadata enriches the sequential data, and is valuable to OCS users for data organization, easier finding of desired data, and richer analysis.
