Offer Self-Paced Online Courses options in other languages
I've got the question coming from some customers if we offered our self-paced online courses in other languages. In my case, the request was for German, but I'm sure other language options would be helpful.

Be able to filter for free content on the All Content page
The only obviously free course is PI System Basics because this is advertised on the home page of OSIsoft Learning. However, OSIsoft has much more free content that can help users get a broad overview of PI and earn certificates in the process.
This free content is especially useful if the designated PI person at an organization is not yet familiar with PI. Whether they will be an administrator or power user, they will need to have a basic understanding of all roles and of how to engage others with PI.
On the All Content page, please add a filter…

Eliminate redirects in the footer of OSIsoft Learning
For any link, in the footer of OSIsoft Learning, that starts with https://osisoft.com, replace https://osisoft.com with https://www.osisoft.com to avoid redirects and make the pages load faster.

Provide a link to the playlist in the same language as the course
At the end of the "About this course" section of the self-paced courses, there is usually a link to the course playlist on YouTube. However, the link always leads to the English playlist regardless of the language of the course.
In the "About this course" section of all self-paced courses, please provide a link to the playlist of the same course in the same language.

Incorrect "correct answer" in "O Básico do PI System"
The "correct answer" to the question below in the "O Básico do PI System" course is incorrect. Please fix this.
The question is:
Qual das seguintes expressões de tempo do PI NÃO mostrarão dados para um incidente que ocorreu ontem às 08:30h da noite? Considere o tempo atual como sendo: 14-Abr-2020 10:00:001 vote -
Unhide the non-retired hidden ("search-only") courses
The All Content page (https://learning.osisoft.com/page/all-content) does not show all courses by default. Some of these courses are hidden because they are retired, and the retired courses do not allow users to register for them. However, most of the hidden courses are not retired and do allow users to register for them. Almost all hidden courses can still be found using the search bar.
If these courses are hidden for a reason, then this reason should be stated on the course page. If these courses are not meant to be taken by customers (maybe the courses aren't finished?), then…

Remove the English-manual warning from the "About this course" section of the courses held in France
All of the courses that are held in France contain the warning "Veuillez noter que les environnements virtuels et les manuels seront en anglais." at the end of the "About this course" section of their respective pages. Translation: "Please note that the virtual environments and the manuals will be in English.
However, the course workbook is available for download just above this note, and it is in French, so unless "les manuels" includes something else, the warning should be changed to simply say: "*Veuillez noter que les environnements virtuels seront en anglais."

Document the equivalence between courses
Some courses have the same content but in a different language, and each instructor-led course contains the content of ≥1 self-paced course. However, it is not clear exactly which courses are equivalent to each other.
Documentation of this can let a customer know which self-paced courses they should not take if they have already taken the equivalent instructor-led courses. If a customer has already taken a few self-paced courses, this documentation can help them decide if they would like to continue taking self-paced courses or opt for an instructor-led course instead. Lastly, this documentation will reveal the self-paced courses that…

Combine the "Hours" columns from different languages in My Profile & translate the "Hours" column title based on the selected language
All of the courses that I have taken on OSIsoft Learning have been in English with the exception of "[日本語/Japanese] PI DataLinkを使用した基本的なレポートの作成", which is in Japanese.
On OSIsoft Learning, I log in, click on my picture in the top right corner, and go to My Profile. In the table, I see an "Hours" column, which is populated by the English courses, and a "時間" (Hours) column, which is populated by the Japanese course. There should not be separate Hours columns for each language. They should use the same "Hours" column, and the "Hours" title should be translated based on the…

Use "OSIsoft" instead of "OSIsoft Learning" as the Issuing Organization when you add a course to LinkedIn
On OSIsoft Learning, when you click on your picture in the top right corner and click on "My Profile", you can click on the "Add to profile" button of any completed course to add that course to your LinkedIn profile.
One effect of this button is that the Issuing Organization is automatically filled in to be "OSIsoft Learning". I feel that this should be changed to "OSIsoft", partly because "OSIsoft Learning" is not a separate organization. More importantly, "OSIsoft Learning" will not show OSIsoft's logo beside the certification on your LinkedIn profile, whereas "OSIsoft" will show OSIsoft's logo. The logo…

Update the "PI System Infrastructure Specialist: Readiness Exam" links
The "PI System Infrastructure Specialist: Readiness Exam" link is broken wherever it appears, such as on certificate pages or in the error message when you try to register for PI System Installation Accreditation without completing the prerequisites. The latter case and an example of the former case are linked below.
https://verify.skilljar.com/c/gmx5qav8rw2m
https://learning.osisoft.com/pi-system-installation-accreditationIdeally, please fix the broken link wherever it is used, but if that is not feasible, a redirect to the correct page would be the next best option. I'm guessing that the correct page is the one linked below:

On the All Content page, remove the extra space in "Asset Framework: Basics"
On the All Content page (https://learning.osisoft.com/page/all-content), "Asset Framework: Basics" has 2 spaces after the colon. There should be only 1 space. These 2 spaces appear only on the All Content page and not on the course page. It is easier to see the 2 spaces in the tooltip that appears when you hover over the course.
I know that this is extremely minor, but it should also be fairly quick to fix.

Drill down from country to city in the Location / Time Zone filter group on the All Content page
On the All Content page (https://learning.osisoft.com/page/all-content), the Location / Time Zone filter group currently lists 17 cities sorted in alphabetical order of city name. This is difficult to navigate and is akin to sorting numbers starting from their last digit.
Consider turning this filter group into a hierarchy where you have country on the top level and cities within each country. Ideally, the countries would be expandable to show the city, much like how each filter group is expandable/collapsible. Also, ideally, the countries would also behave like a filter item, allowing all cities within a country to be…

Clarify "One Month" in "Training Cloud Environments (One Month Access)"
The paid self-paced courses come with 30 days of access to the Training Cloud Environment. Does the "Training Cloud Environments (One Month Access)" (https://learning.osisoft.com/training-cloud-environments-one-month-access) also provide 30 days of access? Or maybe "One Month" means "from the time of purchase up until the day with the same day number next month", in which case the number of days varies but the price doesn't.
Please clarify what "One Month" means. If it is a fixed number of days; for example, 30; then "One Month" should be replaced with "30-Day".

Revise the Content Type filter group on the All Content page
The items currently listed in the Content Type filter group on the All Content page (https://learning.osisoft.com/page/all-content) are:
• Self paced
• Instructor led
• Virtual instructor ledPlease change these to:
• Self-paced
• Instructor-led (virtual)
• Instructor-led (in-person)Reasoning behind the proposed change:
• The added hyphens make the items more grammatically correct.
• By beginning with "Instructor-led", the last 2 items align better visually with each other and makes it much more obvious at a glance that both are instructor-led.
• I moved "Instructor-led (virtual)" to be between the other 2 because it "bridges" the other…1 vote -
Add an "Instructor-Led Course" filter group to the All Content page
There are only 6 distinct instructor-led courses, but there are 69 variations of these. There are few enough distinct instructor-led courses for it to be practical for them to have their own filter group on the All Content page (https://learning.osisoft.com/page/all-content). Some users will always prefer instructor-led courses over self-paced ones, so this should help those users more easily see what is available to them.
If you are thinking "Why would we add such a filter group for only the instructor-led courses?", I have 2 answers. If all courses (instructor-led + self-paced) courses were to be listed in a…

Add a "Product" filter group to the All Content page
Please add a "Product" filter group to the All Content page (https://learning.osisoft.com/page/all-content) to allow courses to be filtered by the PI products that they cover. This is especially useful for courses that cover multiple PI products or that cover a PI product that is not mentioned in the course's title.
Most instructor-led courses fall into this boat. For example, if I want to learn about PI Vision, I'll search for "PI Vision" and not "Visualizing PI System Data (Clients)".

On the 1st page of the course evaluation, translate the dropdown menu items to the selected language & have non-English courses listed
The dropdown menu items on the 1st page of the course evaluation are always in English, regardless of the language that you selected for the evaluation. Also, there is no option to select non-English versions of courses.
Please change this so that non-English versions of courses can be selected and so that the course evaluation can be completed entirely in the selected language (other than perhaps the name of a course in a different language).

Use absolute links in the footer and the avatar menu of the OSIsoft Learning website
The links for Guide, Basic, and FAQ in the footer and for FAQ and Sign Out in the avatar menu of the OSIsoft Learning website are currently relative. This decision assumes that the footer and the avatar menu will only ever appear in the domain learning.osisoft.com, which is unfortunately not true. If you log in, click on your picture in the top right corner to bring up the avatar menu, and click on My Profile, you will be brought to the domain accounts.skilljar.com, which still has the footer and the avatar menu, and all of the links that I mentioned…

Propagate the renaming of courses
Recently, the names of the last 3 courses of the User learning path were simplified to be more consistent with the names of the other courses in this learning path. The renames are:
Creating Basic Reports with PI DataLink → PI DataLink: Basics
PI DataLink with Excel’s Advanced Features → PI DataLink: Beyond the Basics
Building Displays with PI ProcessBook → PI ProcessBook: BasicsIf OSIsoft is happy with these new names, I feel that these new names should be propagated to wherever the old names were used. This includes but is not limited to:
• Course URLs
• Titles…1 vote
