Label courses about deprecated PI programs as such and state the replacement program
If a customer is not paying attention to which PI programs are or will be deprecated (and there are quite a few of them), then they can end up wasting their time and money taking a course about a program that OSIsoft plans to trash in the next while.
Please help steer the customer's attention, time, and money towards learning about programs that OSIsoft is actually pushing for. This will speed up both the adaptation of the new programs and the downfall of the old ones.
The courses about deprecated PI programs are:
• PI WebParts Class
• Building Basic Displays With PI ProcessBook
• Building Advanced Displays With PI ProcessBook
• Configuring Calculations With PI ACE
Another update: Visualizing PI System Data still exists and still contains content about PI ProcessBook, and there is no nudge towards abandoning PI ProcessBook in favour of PI Vision.
It has been a while since I posted this suggestion, and all of the courses that I mentioned are gone. Anything related to using PI ProcessBook seems to have been concentrated into Building Displays With PI ProcessBook. There are no more courses about PI WebParts or PI ACE.
This suggestion is almost completed. There just needs to be some mention that customers should consider using PI Vision instead of PI ProcessBook. Also, if we want to be more thorough, please label playlists and videos about deprecated PI programs as such.
I forgot one: about half of Visualizing PI System Data is focused on PI ProcessBook, so this course is half outdated.
