Ability for OPC DA connector to write data to Edge Data Store.5 votes
The initial release of the Edge Data Store (EDS) will include OPC UA (server) connectivity. OSIsoft would like to understand if OPC UA can be used in place of OPC DA due to the difficulties in implementing OPC DA (server) connectivity on non-Windows OS. Note EDS is targeting Windows and Linux devices with the majority of the use cases favoring Linux.

Ability to have basic visualization of data from the Edge Data Store for local operations.4 votes
OSIsoft would like to better understand the needs around local visualization for the Edge Data Store (EDS). For example, what type of visualization, e.g. simple time series trends? Does the visualization serve one EDS or can data from multiple EDS be visualized? Note for the EDS v1 release, OSIsoft is relying on partners and end customers to develop their own data visualization applications using the EDS API.
Ability for dNP3 connector to write data to Edge Data Store.2 votes
The initial release of the Edge Data Store (EDS) will include Modbus TCP (slave) and OPC UA (server) connectivity to supplement the OMF endpoint and EDS API options for data ingress. OSIsoft would like to understand the scenarios for DNP3 connectivity to help prioritize DNP3 as a future connectivity option for EDS. In addition, OSIsoft would like to understand the need for a “standalone” DNP3 connector that will run on WIndows or Linux devices (standalone meaning without EDS).
Ability for Modbus Serial connector to write data to Edge Data Store.2 votes
The initial release of the Edge Data Store (EDS) will include Modbus TCP (slave) connectivity. OSIsoft would like to understand if Modbus TCP is sufficient to cover the Modbus Serial use cases, i.e. if the user will accept the use of a Modbus Serial to TCP converter (provided by others) on the Modbus slave side.
