  1. Document all badges in the "PI Square badge guide" article

There are at least 4 badges that do not appear in the "PI Square badge guide" article (https://pisquare.osisoft.com/s/article/000032470):
    • PI System Infrastructure
    • PI System Application Developer
    • PI System Installation
    • Employee Badge

Please document all badges in the "PI Square badge guide" article. If a badge cannot be earned anymore or if a badge was migrated for legacy reasons, then state this but do not exclude it entirely.

  2. Be able to mention people with @ in blog posts

The @ mentions currently work only in comments but not in blog posts. Please make them work in blog posts as well.

  3. Wrap long text when editing a blog post

Currently, if you edit a blog post and enter text that is longer than the width of the Full Article box (e.g. a long URL), the box will expand horizontally. However, this box is contained in a window that does not expand horizontally and no horizontal scroll bars appear, so you will have a difficult time navigating the window.

Instead, please visually wrap long text to a new line. This is actually the behaviour of Full Article box when you create a blog post.

  4. Tell the user when their blog post is too long

Currently, if you try to save or publish a very long blog post, the "Save"/"Schedule Post"/"Publish Now" button won't do anything. Instead, when the button is clicked, an error message should appear.

  5. Enable compact view for lists of discussions (e.g., Recent Activity, Unanswered Questions, My Feed)

When viewing a list of posts (e.g., Recent Activity on the Home page), each entry shows the title plus a block of text plus tags plus response buttons making for a lot of scrolling. Is there a way to collapse this to a more compact list view similar to the old PI Square front page? The more compact view makes it easier to quickly peruse the list for items of interest.

  6. Change click behavior of Area buttons on Home page

From the home page, if you click on one of the Area buttons (e.g., All Things PI or PI for Developers), it opens a new browser tab. Can this behavior be changed to open in the current tab?

  7. Link to the "Feedback thread for the new PI Square" discussion

In the discussion linked below, multiple users point out many bugs, annoyances, etc. in the new PI Square, and most of these do not have corresponding UserVoice suggestions.

In the discussion, we have links to UserVoice, but not the other way around. The main purposes of this "suggestion" are to complete the loop and to remind everyone that there are many more known issues than just those listed on UserVoice.

  8. Blog post search stack bug

When you type a character into the blog post search bar, the results will automatically filter based on what you have typed so far. As long as you let this search complete before you type in the next character, everything will work as expected.

However, if you type faster than the results are returned, you will see the desired results flash for a second, and then each second after that, you will see the results change and the number of pages in the results get progressively larger.

It seems like, when a search is interrupted by a new character being…

  10. Restrict the publish time of blog posts to be within now ± 1 year

Currently, you can set the publish time of a blog post to be over 300 years ago. This makes no sense. Please restrict the publish time of blog posts to be from 1 year ago to 1 year from now.

  11. Allow blog posts to be deleted

Currently, for blog posts that are created on the new PI Square, the closest that you can get to deleting a blog post is to delete the content within the blog post, restrict the audience, and archive the blog post or set it to publish in the far future, but you cannot delete the blog post itself or permanently restrict access to a blog post.

Blog posts that were migrated from the old PI Square cannot be edited or deleted at all. Since migrated posts are not always faithful to the original, a user might want to rewrite a migrated…

  12. Better support for tables in blog posts

Tables are a great way to organize information and I've used them in nearly every blog post. However, on the new PI Square, tables must be copied and pasted from elsewhere (e.g. Excel) and they lose all borders, hyperlinks, and cell fill colours. Content within the table can be edited, but if the author wants to insert, delete, or rearrange any rows or columns, they must make these changes elsewhere and then replace the table in the blog post.

Basically, it is impractical to use tables, which greatly limits the types of blog posts that can be written. Please have…

  13. Explain the difference between each type of blog post audience

When you write a blog post on the new PI Square, you are presented with these options in the "Audience" dropdown menu:
    • All
    • Authenticated User
    • Community
    • Customer
    • Guest
    • Internal

However, it is not clear what each option means. Please make this clearer. Additionally, they are currently listed in alphabetical order, but they should instead be listed in order of privacy.

  14. Be able to hide the "Getting Started with the Community" pane

This pane appears on a person's own profile and is needed only when the person is new to the new PI Square. After that, it is a waste of visual space. Arguably, if the pane never existed, I think that users learn just fine on their own how to use the new website.

Please give us the option to hide the "Getting Started with the Community" pane.

  15. Change the "Recent Messages" pane to be a mail icon beside the notification bell

Currently, your "Recent Messages" pane appears on everybody's profile, not just your own. However, it doesn't make sense for messages to be viewable only from your (or a) profile. Please consider replacing the "Recent Messages" pane with a mail icon that appears beside the notification bell. This way, the messages are accessible from any page on PI Square.

Please add support for HTTP/2 so that www.osisoft.com loads faster. This is especially important for mobile devices.

  19. Drop support for TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 on www.osisoft.com

Before the revamp, www.osisoft.com did not support TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1. However, after the revamp, support for these was added again. Please remove support for TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1, since these are insecure protocols.

  20. Drop support for weak cipher suites

The new PI Square already has enough security issues. Every step towards greater security counts.

Please drop support for weak cipher suites. Basically, get rid of all of the orange here:
