  1. Replace insecure HTTP links on my.osisoft.com

    On https://my.osisoft.com/, the "Partner Access to Customer Portal" link uses HTTP. Please change this to HTTPS.

    Also, in the page's source code, there is an HTTP link for "How to Manage a Case". This text and its link were either not fully coded or not fully deleted. Please do something about this. This extra text takes up space and adds to the page load time. Also, incomplete deletions like these may expose information that OSIsoft cannot afford for the public to see, much like the story of Microsoft Word's Fast Save feature.

    Currently, picoresight.com leads to the same page as osisoft.com. Users will not care which version they are using, but to search engines, these are 2 separate web pages. 2 identical pages will always rank lower than just 1 page. Please redirect picoresight.com to osisoft.com to solve this SEO blunder.

  3. Submit picoresight.com for HSTS preloading

    picoresight.com simply leads to a page that is identical to OSIsoft's home page, and to my knowledge, the domain is not used much. This should make it nearly risk-free to submit for HSTS preloading, which will force clients to connect to it using only HTTPS.

  4. Revise the EA Software page

    Page in question:

    What's wrong with it:
    • "Tech Support Webpage" link needs to be replaced
    • "Datalink" should be "DataLink"
    • "Logger(" should be "Logger ("
    • "Batchview" should be "BatchView"
    • "Active View" should be "ActiveView"
    • "Alarm View" should be "AlarmView"
    • "ProfileView" should be "ProfileView"
    • "Arc GIS" should be "ArcGIS"
    • "EA", "SRP", and "CoE" are never written out in full. There is also no link to provide more information on what SRP and CoE are.

  5. Add support for HTTP/2 on both the Customer Portal and the Partner Portal

    Currently, both the Customer Portal and the Partner Portal support only HTTP/1.1. Please add support for HTTP/2 for both of these sites. This will make them load faster and will hopefully solve the complaints about their slow load times.

  6. Mark all OSIsoft employees with the OSIsoft logo on PI Square

    On PI Square, many OSIsoft employees do not have the OSIsoft logo beside their name. This is the equivalent of a sales clerk looking like a customer. When customers see the logo, they know that they can ask more in-depth questions and ask about releases and fixes, and they know that anything that the person posts is trustworthy (hopefully). When customers do not see the logo, it delays the establishment of trust, and if the employee messes up, it can result in harsher backlash from the customer.

  7. Combine the duplicated example in PI Square's Terms Of Use

    In PI Square's Terms Of Use, under "13. Communication Services", there is an example that says:

    • Use, download or otherwise copy, or make available (whether or not for a fee) to a person or entity: any directory of users of the Services or other user or usage information or any portion thereof;

    However, later on, there is a nearly identical example where the only difference is that "make available" is replaced with "provide". Please combine these examples and state both "make available" and "provide" in the same example.

  9. Show nick names I have added on Product page along with serial numbers for case creation

    I don't think anyone knows all the serial numbers for their PI archive servers. On the products page I have added nicknames to the archive server entries so I know which server is which serial number.

    When I create a case and have to choose a server - bring over that nick name as well instead of just serial numbers.

  10. Remove question marks in PI Vision's system requirements

    The offending lines of text are:

  11. Add a scroll bar to the System Requirements window

    The system requirements for PI Server, PI Data Archive, PI Asset Framework, and PI Vision do not fit within the System Requirements window. This is fine, but please add a scroll bar so that there is some indication that there is more content. Also, some laptop users prefer to drag around a scroll bar instead of using 2-finger scroll.

  13. Redirect www.my.osisoft.com to my.osisoft.com

    This idea is similar to https://feedback.osisoft.com/forums/920320-myosisoft/suggestions/37158085-301-redirect-myosisoft-com-to-my-osisoft-com.

    Currently, both https://www.my.osisoft.com and https://my.osisoft.com lead to the same page. This is fine from a functionality standpoint, but from a search engine optimization standpoint, this is bad, since the pages count as 2 different pages, even though their content is the same. The traffic is split between 2 pages, giving you 2 low-ranking pages instead of 1 high-ranking page.

  14. Replace a blurry AF picture

    Please replace the blurry AF picture is on this page: https://www.osisoft.com/partners/

    Lossy compression should never be used on images that are mostly text or on diagrams, or if it is used, the quality should be high.

    (BTW, the "AF", in this case, does not stand for "Asset Framework" 😛)

  15. Write a KB article that explains confusing PI terms

    OSIsoft uses many synonyms and similar-sounding terms. This can get confusing, especially for beginners. Please write a KB article outlining some of these confusing terms.

    For example:
    • Archived = historized = stored/saved in PI
    • Backfill = backdate = perform history recovery
    • "PI Point" and "tag" are often used interchangeably because each PI Point has a tag attribute that uniquely identifies it
    • "Event" is used in 2 different ways: the combination of timestamp and value that is saved to a PI Point, and a real-life occurrence corresponding to an Event Frame

  16. Contact Amazon to improve CloudFront's security, which will secure myOSIsoft downloads

    OSIsoft's products are hosted on CloudFront, which currently scores a B out of a maximum of A+ on the Qualys SSL Server Test (https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/analyze.html?d=d3ge87uu8tftqp.cloudfront.net) due to still supporting TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1.

    OSIsoft customers that are using very old browsers (which they shouldn't) are at risk of a man-in-the-middle attack, where the attacker can serve the customer a malicious install kit, get the install kit for free, etc.

  17. Allow user to export user configurations from My Teams page to a file

    As an Admin User, I would like to be able to export a list of all users under the My Teams section of the Customer Portal with information including the user's name, e-mail address, profile, active status, and the sites with which they are associated so that I can better administer my organization's myOSIsoft user base.

  18. Make Product Release notes public so IT can see what's changed before installation

    "Make product release notes public so that when IT Dept is assessing whether to install updates we can see what has changed. Now I have to chase other parties to get them to login and then send me release notes to review."

  19. "My NOC Cases" should show any NOC cases at sites for which I am a NOC Contact

    As a user who is a NOC Contact, under "My NOC Cases" I would like to see NOC cases for any site for which I am a NOC Contact regardless of whether I am specified as the primary contact on the case. This is so that I can keep track of any NOC cases only at the sites for which I am a NOC Contact (not at sites with which I am associated but am not a NOC Contact) to ensure they are being handled.

  20. Allow all NOC contacts to receive all updates for NOC cases at their site

    As a NOC Contact for my site, I would like to receive all case updates for all NOC cases at my site regardless of whether another NOC Contact has already responded. This is so that I can follow the case and ensure that it is being handled. Currently I have to look on the Portal to see whether a specific contact has been assigned.
