  1. PI Adapter for AspenTech IP21

We have customers who are using AspenTech IP 21 and would like to have data replicated in both PI DataArchive and OCS in the future. Since the PI Interface is a bit outdated, a new PI Adapter would make perfect sense (since there is already a PI Connector for WonderWare and Honeywell PHD). The PI Adapter shall support both PI and OCS.

At this time we have decided to pause development of the PI Adapter for SNMP. Please continue to share your use cases with us as we may consider PI Adapter for SNMP for release in the future.

  3. PI Adapter for EtherNet/IP

Develop a PI adapter to talk directly to Rockwell PLCs using EtherNet/IP without requiring an OPC UA server.

  4. Can we please have an Adapter for the good old OPC DA, please ?

We still have OPC DA all over and it will take time for users to move over to UA Architecture unless one uses a wrapper or something to expose DA as UA (not sure if such a wrapper is available but other way is available).
It would be great to have an Adapter which still supports DA (even if it is without A&E support but with Interface level failover - Hot Type). If this does not require too much of a development work, we would really like to se one available soon.

  5. PI Adapter for Apache Kafka

Create a PI Adapter that supports reading data from Apache Kafka.

Please comment with any specific data, requirements, or use cases that this adapter would need to support!

  6. read files from AWS S3, Azure storage and Google Cloud Storage

For example, model inference data is written to storage and required destination is a PI System.
