This item is under review. Currently considering the following behavior for attributes links:
    Current behavior:
Error returned: “Unsupported data type: ‘OSIsoft.AF.Asset.AFAttribute’.”
    Similar error for AFElement.

    Change under consideration:
Value link for Attributes of value type “Attribute” returns the referenced attribute’s GET response (“/attributes/[webid]”)
Value link for Attributes of value type “Element” returns the referenced element’s GET response (“/elements/[webid]”)

Web ID 2.0 should allow you to compute the WebID of a resource without needing to make a call to PI Web API. With that computed WebID, you can make the single call to PI Web API to delete the resource.

Does this solution meet your needs? Have I understood it correctly?

How would you like to track this information? For example, is it sufficient to be a message in a log file, a performance counter? Do you want to maintain the history of all the changes you want on this flag? This will help us understand how to implement it.

    Hello,

There has to be another way of exporting the display as a file ( modify the configuration within the file)  then importing the same into the other server. This is not a hard thing to do, we must have a feature like that. The moment the Display Utility is virtually useless. It can be a very simple solution.

The idea still exists on our product backlog, but there are no plans in place to develop and release this functionality at this time.

And we cant update to the latest 2017 because PI Data Archive issues since release are not fixed so we can updated all at once. Any news on the date of the 2017 PI Data Archive release date ( the fixed one). We checked with support too and they say you can upgrade to the latest AF and Notifications but then there was the alert of some possible deletion of event frames...

We have 2016R2. And no we still have the same issue. Once it gets corrupted we have to stop thousands of analysis and notifications then, stop the service rename the folder. Then start the service, analysis and notification. Why.. well only because if not done in that way users get false notifications and that is not allowed to happen.

Yes PI System Health product must be able to monitor all internal processes running within the PI System, but also ensure it doesn't run on different ports if possible!
Imagine a scenario where the PI system achieve and AF are in a DMZ layer. Opening additional ports to monitor is a risk from a IT security point of view DMZ should be a safe place secured. We do have a SharePoint with Coresight / Vision , WebParts etc in the corporate (user segment).
At the moment we can't use PI System Health product as we have to open more ports..... Maybe a point to think about...?! Happy to discuss more.
