We are currently working on providing the ability to add multiple cursors to a trend for the PI Vision 2019 release.

UPDATE: It will be possible to add multiple cursors to trends on displays as well as popup trends and to the trend in the new ad hoc workspace that is being introduced in PI Vision 2019.

I'm surprised how many down votes this has received? I'm wondering if its possible to write this functionality ourselves easily? We are using collections for nice lists (the asset comparison table is good, but still a bit limited) The problem is, we'd like the sorting to match the hierarchy, lets say Element1 has child elemehts A B and C, and Element 2 also has A B and C but may also have a D E and F aswell. The collection is grouping all the A's, grouping all the B's, but we want to see Element1 > A, B, C then Element2 A,B ...... (contrived example but you get the idea!)

Having the mouse cursor change to a hand to indicate when a symbol is configured with a navigation link is in development for the PI Vision 2019 release. To make this behavior more intuitive for users, single-clicking the symbol will trigger the navigation instead of double-click. Trends will be an exception to this, single-clicking a trend will continue to drop a cursor and double-click will be required for navigation links.

I have created helper timestamp tags which only write a value every month and every year (etc.), these are in a top level element so any calculations I need triggered monthly or annually simply have those attributes added as full path in the analysis, and that is set as the trigger source. This can be done with a couple of mouse clicks alone so is fairly trivial. The only problem is when there is an archive overlap, the "arc off-line" errors can provide false triggers, best disabling "mark archive gaps".

But yes, getting this functionality built in would make life a lot easier. User defined schedules would help (like shifts)

The PI ProcessBook to PI Vision migration tool is still in development for the upcoming release of PI Vision 2019 and is on track for Q2 2019. This tool will allow you to analyze your ProcessBook displays ahead of the migration to assess which displays are ready to migrate and which displays may need to be evaluated prior to migration.
