There is still no plan for increasing this limitation?
    Isn't 100k too little?

Could you please provide more details and examples of what you want to do? The Archive Subsystem already manages the files in memory, and in the file system cache. So, what are your specific situations where you see inefficient memory usage today?

Also, PI Vision 4.x is NOT this release scheduled for Q2 2019, correct?
So it should take even longer?

    GuilhermeFerreira commented  ·

    Hi Alicia,

will other clients also support the renaming of elements?
I am now particularly interested in the PI Integrator for Business Analytics.

    Regards

    GuilhermeFerreira commented  ·

If you change the root element of AF structure, all your displays are automatically broken!

I've just notice the link below is under PI Vision subject.
I was actually more interested in the tag search within PI Builder!
As it is the most convenient way to create\edit tags in bulk (replacement for the PI Tag Configurator) I need to be able to search tags by instrumenttag, exdesc, locationX, etc...

This idea https://feedback.osisoft.com/forums/320517-pi-vision/suggestions/10756257-search-for-tags-by-tag-attributes-tag-advanced-se should be considered together with the current one. If there will be consistency across all clients, the old Tag Search should be preferable.

I've just noticed this idea is under PI Vision subject. I was looking specifically for "tag search".
    My bad!
This idea https://feedback.osisoft.com/forums/555148-pi-server/suggestions/31121275-tag-search-gui-consistency-among-client-tools should be considered.

    Most importantly size and font!

I believe this current suggestion could wrap this other one
    https://feedback.osisoft.com/forums/320517-pi-vision/suggestions/32171926-pi-vision-2017-setting-table-comparison-table-row
which is extremely important in my opinion. Not being able to format font size can make table impracticable!

This is a urgent matter. Depending on your dashboard, it is simply impossible to read data in an asset comparison table.

The export of displays to a file so that they can be imported to another PI Vision server is planned for a future release.

I’m not sure why this would be needed. In the UFL connector you need to specify the name of the tag that you write to. And if that tag already exists, it will write to it. If that tag does not exist, then the connector would create that tag with your desired tag name. Why would you want the connector not to create that tag?

    GuilhermeFerreira commented  ·

I also think the auto creation is not always desirable. Like Wilson Laizo said, the connector will not always create the tag with correct parameters. And in many cases you may simply get a typo in the tag name which would lead to the creation of a new unwanted tag.
It just happened to me that the source files contained tags between double quotes and they were considered part of the name. So I ended up with new tags like UFL.%22Tagname%22 (%22 would be the " character encoded). Of course I just edited my INI file to read something like TAG = ["*,*,\"(*)\",*"], but the "damage" of all data processed to an undesirable tag was done.
