Hi, we’re reviewing this idea and we would like to request more details on the use cases – i.e. what problems are you trying to solve?
The previous comment only described how to work around the issue, but not why you need this capability.

In order to track last execution time for analyses across restarts, we would have to store this information somewhere. At the same time, you can already look at the output timestamp of the calculation results to see the last time an analysis successfully produced an output. If we were to make that available on the Management tab, would that suffice?

An additional idea for notifications: add an output expression "at start" to event frame analyses to have the possibility to show trigger relevant info in the notification.

This is especially useful in event frame generation for notifications.
This way you could show intermediate variables used in the trigger conditions in the notification. An error occurred while saving the comment Holger Joist commented
Interesting question: I think it should be executed every time the event frame analysis is triggered and not only when the event frame is triggered. But that could be an interesting option.

In an expression analysis I can map a variable to an output attribute.
In an event frame analysis (in AF version 2017 R2) I can define an output expression that can be mapped to an output attribute in the event frame. But I cannot map normal variables of event frame analyses to an output attribute (in the element).
Currently I have to create two analyses to do this. First one is an expression analysis with the output attribute mapping and second one is the event frame analysis using the attribute.

PI System Explorer should ask if the attributes should be removed or converted to non template based attributes.
