We have a feature in the upcoming 1.2 release of the connector that will allow you to collect data from OPC UA tags that do not have current values but do have history. We would poll these every 60 seconds (default) to find new data.

Was that part of this request in any way? Can you describe in more detail what you would like as a feature that prompted you to vote for this time?

We are currently working on incorporating functionality that will allow users to write data to existing tags without having to recreate a new set of tags.

We are working on this request. We plan to provide users the ability to pick their tag naming convention and not worry about managing a cache file.

I have a case where I deliberately delete the Connector's point cache file so I can create new Point tags when I reconfigure my DAQ inputs. I would like to have a way to clear this cache other then finding the file on the drive with Windows Explorer and deleting it.

I'd prefer not to have to do this but is the work around for another issue (with the Archive) where if I rename the Descriptor I can no longer query the old Descriptor. If I change the auto generated Point Name, I can continue to query the old Desciptor data. We are using the Historian for R&D so the Hardware configuration and thus the DAQ sensor configuration is constantly changing.
