Ad hoc trending is a feature that is in development for the upcoming release of PI Vision 2019. This feature will support selecting data from displays to add to an ad hoc trending workspace for analyzing data and investigating issues on the fly.
Markers on trend traces will be included in the PI Vision 4.0 release.
General users need the ability to create ad-hoc calcs without the need to access to AF to generate attributes.
I've been seeing a lot of people in PI Vision training sessions frustrated that this is not an available function. Many are coming from other systems like AspenTech, or customized PI Processbook installs, where performing a quick hourly or daily view of the trended data was a basic right-click function. It would be good to have in PI Vision.

Snap to grid capability for easily aligning symbols when editing PI Vision displays will be included in the PI Vision 4.0 release
Yes please! It was my first question I had in a demo I attended today. We need a static or dynamic grid function in Vision. I'm really OCD about nicely lined up elements and love my snap to grid in ProcessBook for nice neat displays.
