My scenario explained below:
Element A - Has 10 Attributes
Element B - Has 8 Attributes
Element C - Has 10 AttributesAll from a same template - where Element B has 2 excluded attribute.
Now, In PI Vision - If i add all the 10 Attribute from Element A and convert to collection...
I will see N/A for the missing/ excluded attribute in Element B ... ( This is annoying as we cannot hide it easily.)
So IF we have the ability - Hide excluded in pi vision or hidden option for the excluded attribute it will be awesome.
And, If we have Multi-State on the Font color of "Value" It will be easy to hide the N/A values....
Some "intuitive functionality"

This solves many problems when we prepare a dashboard for a fleet.
We need to add the attributes by which we could do the sorting, just like how we filter for specific elements by aAsset Type --- > Asset attributes

We are actively building out a course update that includes additional substitution parameter guidance. Stay tuned… it will appear on the learning.osisoft.com site under the Power User learning path once it is ready for publishing.

This feature will be a "PI Vision" promoter !!
PI AF + PI Vision --> Collecting data from the users with "AD Security" for data writing is the most expected revision.

Asset path is useful for PI users, AF driven PI Displays does not give the end user the clarity of which PI point has been used. Especially when we deal with collectives, Users could not select specific values to do AD-Hoc trending, as well as the users could not know which tag we use to populate the value.
users are only exposed to AF path, and we do see this as a major concern when we try to move towards AF driven PI Displays, as many users in our organization does not deal with AF they only deal with the PI Vision or Processbook displays.
But adding asset path I would like to be able to see the commonly used tag attributes when I hover over a tag in a value, trend or other symbol so that I can effectively interpret and act on the data.
Some important attributes for end users include:
- PI Tag name
- Description
- Engineering units
- Point source
- Instrumenttag
