We understand and acknowledge the importance of this request. We are evaluating how to provide a homogeneous and unified experience for health information across all our connectors.

In certain industries colors often represent different attributes -- for example 3 phase power phase A mayb be Red, Phase B may be Yellow, Phase C may be Blue. As a user, if I display an adhoc trend for these data streams I want to be able to specify pens or pen colors for each data stream.

I’m not sure why this would be needed. In the UFL connector you need to specify the name of the tag that you write to. And if that tag already exists, it will write to it. If that tag does not exist, then the connector would create that tag with your desired tag name. Why would you want the connector not to create that tag?

With EMS in MSH configuration across multiple sites, native connector failover is required for HA. Setting up duplicate instances (one at each site connecting to only that site) only supports EMS failover, it does not support failure of the connector node.

It is also not possible in MSH to enable cross site communication because both might connect.

The only current way to do HA with this connector is to enable Windows Clustering which is a problem for control networks.

Please support HA natively in the connector.
